Music Licensing can be complicated but here at Deep Sounds we try to keep it as simple as possible. Here are the basics of our license restrictions and Prohibited Uses.
Single Use Music Sync License
Each License is a single use sync license which means it can only be used for the project it has been licensed to for the coverage you have selected. You can NOT re-use it on a different project and must purchase or generate another license for each separate piece of work.
Example: You licensed a song for a commercial for Company A. You can not re-use the same song in a commercial for Company B without purchasing or generating a new license.
You do not need to purchase or generate another license for the following variations for the same content as they are permitted under your license:
Addition of subtitles in different languages.
Addition of overdubs of different languages.
Deletion of dialogue or content to conform with broadcast requirements.
Minor changes to splash screens or calls to action.
Change to the aspect ratio.
Trimming down runtime to meet length restrictions.
Prohibited Uses
Can't Create Another Song
Deep Sounds tracks can not be used in other songs.
Example: It is prohibited if you download a song, record vocals over it, then release it on Spotify.
Example 2: It is prohibited if you download a song, remix it, and release it or publish it anywhere.
Can't Use Music as Stand-alone Pieces or Re-Distribute
You Can not re-sell, package, or upload these tracks as stand-alone pieces.
Example: Licensing a track and uploading the track on YouTube as just the song would be prohibited.
Example 2: Licensing a track and trying to sell it to someone else would be prohibited.
Can't Use for AI Training/Machine Learning/Data Mining
You may not use tracks for AI Training, Machine Learning, or any other form of data mining, whether downloaded, streamed, or recorded externally.
Content Restrictions
Our music can not be used in the following types of content:
Can not be used in pornographic content.
Can not be used in content promoting or discouraging election of political figures.
