YouTube's Content ID system is a powerful tool that enables music partners like us to effortlessly identify and manage our artist's music across the platform. YouTube scans all uploaded videos against a vast database of music, making it easier for creators and rights holders to manage their content. If you are not familiar with content ID, learn more here.
If you are an unlimited subscriber, you will have the option to whitelist a single YouTube channel through your subscription page so you won't get any copyright claims while using Deep Sounds Music while your subscription is still active.
Whitelisting Your Channel
Adding your YouTube channel to be whitelisted is very simple:
Head over to your subscription page.
Log into your YouTube account associated with the channel you want to whitelist and click on your profile avatar on the upper right corner to bring the dropdown menu and then Settings.
Then click Advanced Settings on the left navigation menu.
It will display your Channel ID which you can copy and paste into the channel ID box on your subscription page.
Click Search.
A model will open up showing you the YouTube Channel. If this is the correct channel, click Submit Whitelist Request.
Your request is usually processed in 5-10 minutes and you will get a confirmation email.
Once confirmed then you are all set! Any Deep Sounds tracks used in content uploaded to your YouTube channel during your active subscription will be automatically cleared and you will not get any copyright claims.
Important Notes
Any copyright claims made prior to you whitelisting your channel will still need to be manually cleared. Learn more on how to release copyright claims on YouTube.
Once your subscription ends, your whitelist gets automatically removed. This means any uploads after the whitelist is removed will get hit with a copyright claim. Any previous uploads that were automatically cleared will stay cleared.
If your subscription ends and you sign up for another subscription down the line, you will need to add the whitelist request again.
Once your whitelist request is active, you will not be able to remove it or switch to a different channel through your dashboard. If your channel ID has switched for any reason, please reach out to our support team who will have to switch that for you manually.
